Health seen through the lense of the mother.

Mothering the mother.

The past thousands of years health has been oriented around men. Men has created the systems that serve us and men created our health care systems. And in doing so obliviated much of our innate knowledge of how to care for life, our planet and our mothers. The health care systems thrives on us trusting them- they do not nesessarily enable us to better trust ourselves and our bodies.

In my practice of providing care for mothers I see that mothers need to be respected, loved and cared for differently than what our systems can provide. Mothers often need to feel safe, to feel seen and heard and to feel relaxed in order for them to open up and share their worries and their life situations. Also, we have needs spiritually and emotionally that are connected to our female bodies.

Joining me for a session usually means connecting heart to heart, mother to mother, drinking tea or other homemade goodies, body care, warmth and loads of love. The care I provide is based on Innates Postpartum Care certification program which is care centered for mom. The modules I provide are traditional, ceremonial and personal.

If you carried children and have not received any care or little support after these massive life changes, chances are you can find deep healing and support here.

“Silje fulgte meg gjennom graviditeten og var med oss på fødselen. Det var så fint å ha et menneske man stoler på tilstede på noe så sårbart som sin første fødsel. Jeg er så takknemlig for den gode helhjerta støtten jeg har fått, også nå i barseltiden. Det har vært gull!”
